About Janice Dugas – A Lifelong Passion for Philately
Hello and welcome to StampCollectingPodcast.com! I’m Janice Dugas, a lifelong philatelist with a deep appreciation for the stories that stamps tell.
My journey in stamp collecting began at the age of 12, and over the years, it has taken me on an incredible adventure. In 1999, I co-founded Timbres-Thèmes (Topical Stamps), one of the first online shops dedicated to thematic stamp collecting. As an active member of the Quebec and Canadian Stamp Dealers Association, I had the privilege of holding booths at philatelic exhibitions across Quebec, Ontario, and the Eastern U.S..
A pioneer in promoting topical stamp collecting by subject, I have always believed in making this niche both respectable and respected. Today, I continue to share my passion as an active member of the American Topical Association (ATA) and through my website DiscoverTopicalStampCollecting.com.
With the launch of this podcast, I’m excited to explore the rich history, hidden gems, and fascinating stories behind stamps, connecting collectors and enthusiasts worldwide.
Stay tuned for upcoming episodes, and let’s embark on this philatelic adventure together!
📬 Happy Collecting!
